The AGWSR Cougars entered last Tuesday’s Class 1A Regional opener in Fort Dodge with a seven-game losing streak. That ended, sending them into the second round, as they beat the St. Edmond Gaels in three-straight (25-18, 25-12, 25-23).

“It’s very nice getting the sweep,” head coach Jill Smith said. “In the playoffs especially because nobody wants their season to end. I think there’s a little more pushback from the other team.”
