Trey Lashbrook

Trey Lashbrook's third State Tournament ended with three losses, but not before he picked up a win here over Mount Ayr's Bryce Shaha to reach the Class 1A semifinals at 120.

Sometimes a wrestler grapples more than just the opponent on the mat. Sometimes he wrestles histories. Sometimes he wrestles traditions. Sometimes he wrestles destinies.

Sometimes a wrestler faces all three. Not only did AGWSR junior Trey Lashbrook face them all himself in last week’s Iowa State Wrestling Championships, he did it twice in less than 24 hours and finished sixth at 120 pounds.
