As the nurse management team planned for when COVID-19 entered Grand JiVante, the floor staff trained. Certified Nurse Assistants and Certified Medical Assistants, along with support staff in dietary, housekeeping and maintenance departments placed their focus on what was to come. Each plan to provide the best care for residents of the facility was followed with preparations for its implementation. Care of the residents would be the staffs’ first priority.

Still, when the virus made its way into the facility, it came unexpectedly. And it spread like wildfire.
