Zach Johnson, one of three Cougar seniors, led the team in wins, pins and takedowns. He finishes as a two-time District qualifier, but meant just as much or more to the team as a leader.

For the last nine seasons, the AGWSR Cougars have had at least one State place winner. The names grew familiar – Clay Meinders and Trey Lashbrook three times, Caleb Meinders twice, Ali Gerbracht twice. Three – Michael Young, Cruz Vera, Trinity Rotgers – did it once.
The streak was kept alive this past season, but by a new name that now has a chance grow familiar with people – Rory Siems.
