Laurie Gann

AGWSR head coach Laurie Gann was named the 2018bCoach of the Year by her NICL-West peers. She was also tabbed by the IGCA as the North Central Coach of the Year. She started caching at her collegiate alma mater, but left for the high school ranks, and has won over 400 games as a head coach in Missouri and Iowa combined.

When Laurie Gann started coaching high school basketball and track, it was after three years at the college level. But after a year as an assistant and two as the head women’s basketball coach at Missouri Baptist University, she had had enough.

So while starting where many coaches want to end – at the college level – Gann left. Still wanting to make a difference in young girls’ lives, she found a high school. Now she is the head girls basketball and track coach at AGWSR.
