IF-A/AGWSR Cadet Girls Cross Country

Kyla Oppold was the fifth and final scorer for the Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR Cadet girls, but it earned her 20th place to help lead them to a team win at Saturday’s South Hardin Invite in Eldora. Teammate Ellie Meyer won for the eighth time in eight races this season.

With a section of the course called “Jaws,” the track at the Pine Lake Country Club in Eldora can be formidable. Ellie Meyer ran it in 19:38.2, winning the South Hardin Invite by well over a minute and leading the Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR Cadet girls to a team title.

For the first time this season, the Cadet boys were led by somebody other than Jacob Michaelson or Jaden Bartlett. Jase Beaubien led the Cadets to a fourth place finish with a 12th place run of his own.
