Evan Johnson

Evan Johnson was recently named the head coach at Clear Lake. His wrestling career at AGWSR included a trip to the State Tournament, where he finished fifth as a senior..

Evan Johnson could probably coach anything he wanted. The 2011 AGWSR graduate was a standout in track and baseball, earning four letters in both. He also lettered four times in football before going on to play for Grand View University.

Almost ironically, Johnson chose to pursue a head coaching job in wrestling. He earned three varsity letters in the sport while at AGWSR. He also won 83 matches and earned a fifth place medal at the State Tournament. Last week he was named the head wrestling coach for the traditional Class 2A power Clear Lake Lions.
