Electors in Ackley headed to the polls early last Tuesday to cast their ballots in city and school board elections. Assisting voters at the Ackley precinct during the morning hours were Julie Kreimeyer, Sandy Trampe, and Barb Kreimeyer. Not pictured is poll worker Glenna Richtsmeier.

Patricia Daggs will serve as the City of Ackley’s first female mayor following her election to the position in the Nov. 5 elections. Daggs ran unopposed for the seat receiving 250 votes in unofficial election results posted on the Hardin and Franklin counties websites.

Daggs sought the position after serving on the Ackley council for two years. Her seat on the council will need to be filled after she resigns the position to take on her new duties for the City. The position of Ackley mayor is a two-year term.
