Donald “Don” Noble

APLINGTON - Donald “Don” Dean Noble, 78, of Aplington, was born the son of Bert Edward and Tena (Rotgers) Noble on Oct. 6, 1940, in Ackley, Iowa. Don attended Ackley High School.

On Jan. 20, 1962, Don was united in marriage with Darla Dekker at the First Reformed Church in Aplington. The couple made their home in Waterloo until 1972, when they moved to Aplington. After their marriage, Don was a truck driver. He then worked at John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo for 30 years and retired in 1995. After his retirement, Don and Darla managed the Aplington Recreation Complex for seven years.
