The Science Center of Iowa will visit the Grace O. Doane Alden Public Library on Nov. 1 from 1pm to 2 pm for a presentation for children in grades kindergarten through eighth. The program, called “Boom,” explores the interactions of pressure, temperature and states of matter to explain why things pop, bang or blow up. Experiment with ultra-cold liquid nitrogen and combustible gases. The program is free and open to the public.
