The public is invited to celebrate Mardi Gras in Iowa Falls with a traditional New Orleans meal at St. Matthew’s By-the-Bridge Episcopal Church. The meal will be served Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, which is located at the corner of Oak and Railroad streets, beside the Highway 65 bridge across the Iowa River.

The menu will include jambalaya, red beans and rice, salad and bread pudding with praline sauce. There will be free parade throws, a video of the history of Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and recordings of traditional New Orleans jazz. Take-out will be available.

There is a suggested free-will donation of $7 per person for the meal. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to help fund the Iowa Falls Summer Organ Recital Series.
