U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson, a Republican who represents Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in Hardin County this weekend. Hinson was elected to serve the 2nd District in 2020. Redistricting this fall changed the shape of the district, which encompasses an area of east central and northeast Iowa. It will be renamed the 1st Congressional District and it will include Hardin County.

The Hardin County Republicans will host a meet and greet for Hinson on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at American Legion Post #188 in Iowa Falls (709 S. Oak St.). The event will include a soup supper.

Redistricting will take effect after the November 2022 elections.
