NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS OF
RECEIVING BIDS FOR 2021 WADING
POOL CONSTRUCTION AT ACKLEY
MUNICIPAL POOL.
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Ackley,
Iowa at 208 State Street, Ackley, Iowa, 50601
until Noon on the fifth day of March, 2021 for the
above stated project as described in detail in the
plans now on file in the office of the City Clerk.
Bids received will be opened and tabulated by the
City Clerk and Project Engineer at 1:00 PM on
the fifth day of March 2021. The proposals will be
presented to the City Council and considered at
its next available meeting. The project consists
of the construction of a 630 SF wading pool with
270 SF beach entry that varies in depth from 0’-0”
to 1’-0”. The wading pool shall be constructed
with small play features specified on the above
referenced plans. The selected contractor shall
be responsible for the construction of the wading
pool vessel and associated improvements
including but not limited to play features,
recirculation system and equipment, modification
of existing equipment room as required to
accommodate recirculation equipment, concrete
deck construction, fence construction, and
restoration. Demolition of the existing wading
pool and surrounding existing deck concrete will
be completed under a separate contract. All bids
shall be made on forms furnished by the City and
must be enclosed in a separate sealed envelope
and plainly identified.
