From Medicaid and medical marijuana to traffic cameras and tax reform, the Iowa Legislature is expected to consider changing or adopting laws regarding dozens of issues this year.

The 2020 Iowa Legislative Session will begin Monday. Area legislators from both sides of the aisle weighed in on some of the issues that are most important to them this year. Currently, Republicans control the governor’s office and hold majorities in the House and Senate.
