An audit of Greenbelt Home Care/Hardin County Public Health released Thursday reports that former director Julie Towne improperly distributed more than $38,000 during a three-year timespan. 

A report released by the State Auditor's Office Thursday morning found that the former director of Greenbelt Home Care/Hardin County Public Health spent thousands of agency dollars on personal vacations, Christmas parties, food and more.

According to the report, former director Julie Towne, spent $38,020.13 of the non-profit organization's money on "improper disbursements" and $3,157.91 on "unsupported disbursements" from July 1, 2016 through April 30, 2019.
