Hansen Family Hospital’s May financial report almost looks too good to be true. The hospital turned a profit of more than $400,000 last month, which means it will likely end this fiscal year in the black, a stark difference from its position even a month ago, when facility leaders were projecting an 2018-19 loss.

Last month’s financials were presented to the hospital’s Board of Trustees at a meeting Wednesday afternoon. They showed that that hospital, whose year-to-date position at the end of April showed a loss of $231,700, has rebounded and is now sitting $187,291 in the black.
