The Hardin County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution last week to lift a moratorium on commercial energy wind conversion construction permits. The moratorium was put in place in December, but Supervisor Lance Granzow said since the new wind energy conversion ordinance had been approved and published, the measure could be lifted.

RWE Renewables spent more than $2 million preparing to build a 200-megawatt wind farm in Hardin County. It announced plans to build the proposed wind farm last November, but construction would not happen until 2022.
