Some lucky band students at South Hardin High School will get a chance to play brand new instruments next year.

The Elodora-New Providence School Board unanimously approved spending $22,129 on 15 new instruments at its regular board meeting on Monday. The instruments will be paid for by money moved from the District's Home School Assistance Program Account into the District's Flexibility Account -- a move made possible by recently passed legislation allowing districts more discretion as to how those funds are allocated.
