ECC campus

Students will be required to wear a face covering while on campus and in common areas this fall at Ellsworth Community College. They will not have to while in their own dorm rooms and if they can safely be socially distant in a classroom.

Iowa Valley Community College District announced on July 15 that it planned to hold classes in-person with students living on campus in the fall. On Tuesday this week, Ellsworth Community College released its new protocol in place to help keep students and faculty safe as well as limit the spread of coronavirus.

“The administration at ECC has been taking the community and students' safety very seriously,” Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Amanda Estey said. “Not only to create a safe learning environment but also to ensure the safety of the community with all of the procedures in place.”
