Eldora may finally ban all but novelty fireworks in city limits after almost three years of debate.

At Tuesday's meeting, the council set a public hearing for 6:15 p.m. on June 9 (whether it's virtual or physical is yet to be determined) to precede a vote that, if passed, would change the city code to ban consumer-grade fireworks from being discharged.
