Alden Food Pantry

The Alden Food Pantry Acquisition Team has raised just under $80,000 to purchase the Alden Food Pantry building for $68,000. The building will be sold to the city of Alden in a quit claim deed for $1. Acquisition Team Chairman Rev. Bob Miller said the extra $10,000 will be used for future building expenses and upkeep.

During the span of only 51 days, a small committee of residents has raised enough funds to purchase the Alden Food Pantry.

The Food Pantry Acquisition Team - organized after the pantry's previous owners - Pat Kielsmeier and Betty Thomas - moved out of the community and expressed a desire to place the building for sale.
