Barlow Summer Reading

Barlow Library Children's Librarian Rebecca Wood has prepared a selection of books that follow this year's summer reading program theme of "A Universe of Stories."

School’s out, and for most kids that means afternoons at the swimming pool, bike rides, and staying up past bedtime. But for many kids, summer is also a time for reading, which area libraries enthusiastically encourage.

The Barlow Memorial Library in Iowa Falls will continue its years-long tradition of offering a summer reading program for Iowa Falls youngsters. This year’s theme – developed by the State Library of Iowa and adopted by the Barlow Library – is “A Universe of Stories.” Barlow Library’s Children’s Librarian Rebecca Wood is promoting a plethora of space-themed books for all ages.
