For the Keninger family this Christmas is one which they will hold dear. Seventy-eight years after his death, the remains of Leo Thomas Keninger, Navy Fireman 1st Class on the USS Oklahoma were accounted for. With his parents, six brothers and two sisters all deceased, notification was made to his nieces and nephews.

Martha “Elaine” Wallace serves as the family spokesperson. Wallace says the family was first notified near Thanksgiving.
