Senior Signs

Libby Steinfeldt, the mother of a senior as well as a special education aide at Alden Elementary, was part of a crew that hung signs for all 104 Iowa Falls-Alden High School seniors. They will stay in front of Hy-Vee in Iowa Falls at least through Sunday's original commencement date.

When the school calendar turns to May, most high school seniors are focused on graduation. For many, that’s the only recognition they seek.

Whether they want recognition or not, the 104 Iowa Falls-Alden High School seniors are still being noticed and honored during their lost spring and amended graduation through signs, both in public and at their homes.

Senior Signs

IF-A High Shcool counselor Jessie VanHove surprised IF-A senior Emma Harding with her own sign on Monday. Harding said the sign, and the photo signs at Hy-Vee, have helped the class cope with all that has been lost to COVID-19 shutdowns this spring.
