Tony Howard, of Dale Howard Auto Center in Iowa Falls, said there is no hiding the lack of new vehicle inventory. While new models continue to trickle in, he was told not expect regular levels until the fourth quarter at least.

Even as pandemic restrictions have been lifted, retailers and manufacturers alike continue to struggle with issues resulting from the coronavirus. For some companies, that means a lack of inventory to meet customer demand.

At Dale Howard Auto Center in Iowa Falls, the lot along Brooks Road is sparse. Out front there are sometimes only three new vehicles when there used to be twice as many or more. Inside the building, where seven or eight of the newest cars and trucks are usually parked, there are only two.

Jones Appliance and TV

Dave Jones stands where a refrigerator should be in the Jones Appliance & TV showroom in Iowa Falls. The spot and others, as well as a large portion of the basement warehouse, stand empty as manufacturers struggle with getting product to retailers.
