Lezlie Dalbec & Deanna Vaux

Lezlie Dalbec (left) is stepping away from being one of the lead volunteers in the Union and Whitten area. She is handing the reins to Deanna Vaux, another lifelong resident of the area who has been involved in many things.

Lezlie Dalbec is a Union-Whitten woman through-and-through. She lives in Whitten, graduated from school at U-W, and has worked in Union for 41 years.

“I am the accountant at Heart of Iowa Communications Cooperative,” Dalbec said. “I have worked at Heart of Iowa for 41 years, having several job roles from processing Service Orders, Trouble Dispatching, Bookkeeping and Accountant. I started through the Multi Occupational Cooperative (MOC Program) as a junior in High School, and have worked here since.”

Deanna Vaux

Deanna Vaux has been involved in various area activities, but is taking on an expanded role as she replaces Lezlie Dalbec in leading the organization it takes to keep those activities going.

Lezlie Dalbec

Lezlei Dalbec has enjoyed her role in organizing events in Union and Whitten, but said it is time for new faces and fresh ideas moving forward. She said she will never be too far removed from volunteering her time if she is needed.
