Aaron Clemons mug

Aaron Clemons was elected Eldora Fire Chief on Nov. 11, 2019.

When former Eldora Fire Chief Dave Lloyd announced his intention to retire after this year, a changing of the guard in the department became inevitable.

Lloyd, who has been a firefighter for 31 years and chief for the past seven, will be replaced by 10-year EFD vet Aaron Clemons on New Year's Day. Clemons was voted into the position by his peers on Dec. 11. Rick Wolcott will take over first-assistant chief duties from retiring Jeff Gore, and Mike Rogers will remain second-assistant chief.
