Grain Market Outlook

Chad Hart was one of the presenters at the recent North Central Iowa Crop and Land Stewardship Clinic in Iowa Falls. He talked about grain markets and where he sees them heading.

Chad Hart, associate professor and crop marketing specialist at Iowa State University, shared his concerns for the future of the markets during the 2019 North Central Iowa Crop and Land Stewardship Clinic in Iowa Falls recently. Though very real, he said a lot of those concerns can be fixed – at least in part.

Hart’s presentation covered the factors shaping the 2019 Ag markets of corn and soybeans. He also added some pork and beef discussion as the U.S. ranks first or second in global share of exports of those products.
