Opening Ceremonies

This summer is different. There’s no doubt about it. Swimming pools have introduced new rules or remained closed. People around town can be seen wearing face coverings. And a number of town festivals - even the Iowa State Fair - have been canceled.

Parade Bags

Chamber/Main Street volunteers Barb Muilenburg and Adam Nederhoff were among the people who pitched in Monday evening to stuff the bags that will be handed out to parade-goers on Saturday, July 4.

But Iowa Falls city officials and organizers of Riverbend Rally, the Iowa Falls Chamber/Main Street’s annual Fourth of July celebration, have pushed on. The Independence Day festival will be different this year, but planners hope it will give the community something to look forward to amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Parade Bags

Six hundred bags have been stuffed with candy, bottled water, gift cards and other goodies. One bag will be given to each vehicle that enters the reverse parade route in Iowa Falls on Saturday, July 4.
