RMS business project

Rivebend Middle School seventh-grader Abi Harken gave a brief presentation to Iowa Falls business leaders Tony Howard and Sarah Simpson on Friday. Students were asked to create a business plan and persuade a faux loan committee to give them money for their start-up project.

Riverbend Middle School seventh-graders are taking on the role of a business owner as part of a class project.

Lauren Anderson, who teaches sixth and seventh grade language arts, said students have researched existing businesses, written essays about what they learned, and created their own business plans.
