HCCEF Making a world of difference 2021

The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation awarded Eleanor and Evelyn Schiller the "Making a World of Difference" award posthumously on Tuesday, March 23. The sisters were avid readers, so HCCEF decided to display the awards at the Barlow Memorial and Grace O. Doane libraries. Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation Chair Steve Cox doesn't think Eleanor and Evelyn Schiller would like the public recognition of being named winner of this year's "Making a World of Difference" award if they were still alive.

"These two ladies, from what I've heard, they'd would be throwing books at us if they knew we were doing this," Cox said from inside Barlow Memorial Library.
