With 36 of 61 votes favoring him after the Nov. 2 election, Marshall Simmerman had a decision to make. As it turns out, the once and again mayor of Hubbard said it was an easy decision.

“I am going to accept for two more years, but that’s it,” Simmerman said. “I will not accept after that. Honestly, it was a pretty easy decision because I have a great council to work with and a great city clerk you guys have chosen to bring on board. We’ll just keep moving the ball forward and do the best we can. I appreciate all your support.”
