The Hardin County Board of Supervisors listened to an update regarding COVID-19 and derecho storm relief during a brief meeting on Wednesday.

Emergency Management Coordinator Thomas Craighton told the supervisors that of the approximately 400 people tested 19 Hardin County residents were newly positive for COVID-19 last week. He added that FEMA and the Iowa Department of Human Services have agreed to distribute reusable masks to area schools in the next couple weeks.
