Alden Main Street Bridge

The Main Street Bridge in Alden may be replaced in the next couple of years.

The Hardin County Board of Supervisors took one more step toward replacing the bridge spanning the Iowa River on Alden's Main Street during its regular meeting Wednesday.

The board accepted a feasibility study provided by bridge designers Calhoun-Burns and Associates Inc. The firm examined multiple courses of action the county and City of Alden could take, but ultimately championed replacement.
