AGWSR music teacher Amanda Lee teaches the difference between sharp, flat and other sheet music symbols to sixth graders on Monday in Hubbard.

With notes that were perhaps a little too sharp, flat or muted, AGWSR’s sixth-graders received nothing but encouragement from music teacher Amanda Lee on Monday. Lee, who began her 20th year in August — 15 of them at AGWSR — has a few quirks that set her apart.

“My favorite color is purple and I’m pretty sure every student of mine knows that,” she said while sporting a deep purple blouse.
