Oldenburger teacher spotlight

Becoming a teacher was a natural decision for AGWSR’s Deb Oldenburger. Oldenburger teaches reading and language, Family Consumer Science and Communications to seventh- and eighth-grade students in the district’s Wellsburg center. She grew up involved with children, serving as a Sunday school teacher. She said she felt that teaching was her calling in life.

She earned a teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997. Her first teaching position was with the Gladbrook-Reinbeck district in 1999, where she taught first grade.
