Iowa Newspaper Foundation

The Iowa Falls Times Citizen and Ackley World Journal, which are both owned by the Iowa Falls-based Times Citizen Communications, collected more than 30 awards at the Iowa Newspaper Association and Foundation’s annual banquet held Friday, Feb. 7 in Des Moines.

The presentations were made by the Iowa Newspaper Foundation at the conclusion of the Association’s annual convention. There were more than 3,300 entries in dozens of categories that were judged by class, based on circulation. The Times Citizen competes in Weekly Class 3, which is newspapers that are published weekly with 1,551 circulation and more.

Tradition & applied standards of excellence continue by one of the finest “small newspapers” in the country! Proud to have been a part of it all for so many years. Along with vivid memories of “Plaque Ensemble” showings!
