Duane Leo Bearman was born March 19, 1949, to Leo Louise and Lucille Hilda (Meier) Bearman in New Hampton, Iowa. He attended the Tripoli Community School District, graduating in 1967. Immediately after graduation, he joined the Navy, and was in until 1971. He later attended both the Hawkeye Institute of Technology and the Northeast Iowa Community College; both of these were for certification in heating and air conditioning and continuing education in this field. He had four children: Mari, Jeni, Darren and Laura. During most of his life he worked at John Deere on the line, eventually retiring from there. A large accomplishment in his life was being a proud member of A.A. (Alcoholics Anonymous) for 35 years. Duane was a member of the Open Bible Church in Iowa Falls. He loved fishing and hunting, but especially enjoyed his grandkids, and just plain life in general.
