There are people among us who are just plain good. They look for ways to help others, they volunteer to give back to the community, and they don’t seek thanks or recognition. Jane Granzow is one of those people.

Granzow, a native of Eldora who now calls Iowa Falls home, was featured in a story on the front of Saturday’s Times Citizen. To many of us, hers is a familiar face. We’ve seen her out, plastic bags on her arm, trash grabber in her hand, picking up the litter along our city streets. In every season but winter, she’s out every day, wherever she is — be it Eldora, Iowa Falls or visiting family out of state — picking up trash.
