Imagine investing significant resources – more than $2 million – in a business idea and spending years working to make it a reality. But then, just as you are getting close to making it happen, someone tries to change the rules on you in the middle of the game and kick you and your business out.

That’s exactly what happened when the Hardin County Board of Supervisors voted to enact one of the most restrictive wind ordinances in Iowa and try to use it to kill our proposed Hardin County wind energy project, a $250-350 million investment we have been developing for years and which would provide significant benefits for all in the county.
