To the Editor:

Everyone concerned about the future success of Iowa agriculture should vote for Ray Gaesser for Secretary of Agriculture in the June 5 primary. Ray has farmed in southwest Iowa for over 40 years, and each year continues to add soil saving and water quality improving practices to his owned and rented acres. We have known Ray for over 15 years and have been impressed with his personal integrity and commitment to agriculture.

Ray has a legacy of farm and community leadership, serving as president of both the Iowa Soybean Association and the American Soybean Association. He has led over 50 foreign trade missions in the past 20 years, and has helped write numerous U.S. farm bills. He serves on his local bank and church boards as well as state and local economic development advisory boards. He serves as co-chair of the Iowa Conservation Infrastructure Initiative.

Ray’s personal example, farm expertise and leadership experience will help Iowa’s farmers build a stronger, more resilient farm economy. Vote Ray Gaesser and put and experienced farmer in the Secretary’s office.
