If you live in Iowa, chances are you attended or watched the Iowa vs. Iowa State game Saturday. There was no ditching the media coverage, especially since ESPN was hosting the Game Day show in front of the stadium.

Now, I lean toward being an Iowa fan, but my closest people cheer for Iowa State, so I attended the festivities in an Iowa T-shirt under an Iowa State jacket, but I left the jacket open. I don’t just come from a home divided, I am a person divided. I wasn’t the only one, either . . . I ran into an Iowa Falls girlfriend dressed in all Iowa State attire, but she had an Iowa pin on her jacket. I think there were several of us who showed up supporting both teams.
