Elaine Loring

I was at an auction and there was a 60-something-year-old gentleman sitting in the center of the row behind me, a few chairs to the left. He was all by himself until another 60-something-year-old gentleman asked if any of the seats next to him were taken. They were not.

Now, generally speaking, I don’t sit around listening to other people’s conversations about the weather and what not, especially if they are strangers to me, but the first thing out of the second gentleman’s mouth after he sat down was a little bold. He asked if gentleman number one had heard about President Trump saying windmills caused cancer, and how absolutely absurd that was. He then went on to ask if gentleman number one agreed with this proclamation, because he certainly did not, which segued into him bashing the president.
