Cougar boys golf

The boys' golf team became the first boys team to win a State title for AGWSR. They won the Class 1A Meet by double digit strokes behind Ben Macy's third-place finish and Daniel Stahl's 10th-place finish to end an emotional year played in honor of long-time head coach Brad Hames who passed away before the school year. Pictured are (left to right): Bo Gerbracht, Eli Kuper, Daniel Stahl, Trey Lashbrook, Ben Macy, Eli Brandt, and head coach Ryley Schipper.

The Times Citizen sports coverage area provided several thrilling milestones and moments to fill up an entire sports section, but the staff elected to go with these eight achievements by individuals or teams from Iowa Falls-Alden, South Hardin, AGWSR and Ellsworth Community College. As all sports programs look toward 2022, there is much to be accomplished to top some of the feats marked within the last 12 months. Enjoy a look back and Happy New Year!
