IF-A Football Practice

Back-up quarterback Kortland Nehring throws a pass during Iowa Falls-Alden's practice Thursday afternoon. While area coaches are being cautious, there has been only one COVID-related opt-out for the fall football season. AGWSR Coach James Koop said a Cougar freshman decided not to play due to concerns regarding the virus.

None of the coaches within the greenbelt area pretend to have all the answers when it comes to playing high school football during a global pandemic.

But the season will get underway for Iowa Falls-Alden, South Hardin and AGWSR this Friday, as players, coaches and communities will gather under the lights at high school fields across the state.
