CLASS 1A REGION 7 FINAL

Ali Gerbracht put the tag on at the plate to save a run in the first inning. AGWSR held a 1-0 lead over the third-ranked Clarksville Indians through three innings, but fell 6-1 in the end of the Class 1A Region 7 final in Clarksville.

Kori Wedeking didn’t give up even an earned run a game this season. She didn’t give up half that. The Clarksville Indian senior carried a 0.26 ERA into Monday’s Region 7 final.

Still, it took two innings of what AGWSR has struggled with all season – walks and errors - for Wedeking to earn a 6-1 home win and a trip to next week’s Class 1A State Tournament in Fort Dodge.
