Iowa Falls-Alden's Jaden Damiano is the top seed heading into Saturday's 110 meter finals after winning the prelim. He also added a silver medal to his haul in the 400 lows on Friday.

If there was anyone in the Class 2A 110 meter hurdle field that had legitimate hopes of unseating defending Class 3A State Champion Jaden Damiano, Friday's prelims may have dashed them.

As expected, Damiano took care of business and grabbed one of the eight final spots. The Iowa Falls-Alden junior set a new benchmark, clocking a 14.02 to take the fastest time into the event. His time was a state-wide season best and was lower than his state title winning time last spring (14.23).
