Jenny Wibholm

Jenny Wibholm has been running outside and finding workouts via YouTube for cardio and speed during the time off from sports and school. The IF-A athlete has been doing body weight exercises as well.

It may not seem like it, but right now is an important time for area athletes and coaches.

With no school through the month April, it’s an opportunity for teams to get better. Plus, if sports return as early as June, they don’t want to have to start from scratch on conditioning and weights.

Dolash

South Hardin junior, Dante Dolash, uses his younger brother as an added weight during his workout. Athletes have had to get creative during this time without gyms and weights. According to SH coach Nick Eller, athletes getting a daily workout will be huge when sports return.

Owens sisters

Ella (pitching) and Faith Owens work on their softball skills during the shut down, before the fields and parks closed. With the fate of summer sports still unknown, South Hardin softball coach Becky Rosonke said it is still important to stay in shape and work on basic skills.

Janssen

For 45 minutes per day, Iowa Falls-Alden multi-sport athlete Blake Janssen is outside at his backyard basketball court. He is shooting baskets and working on his ball handling - just trying to sweat.
