Taryan Barrick

Taryan Barrick got her first start of the season in Monday's 10-0 home win over the Grundy Center Spartans. She started at first base, but threw two innings of perfect ball to finish the game.

Monday’s North Iowa Cedar League-West game in Ackley was more than just another game between the AGWSR Cougars and Grundy Center Spartans. The sixth-ranked Cougars won 10-0, while helping the American Cancer Society.

The night was emotional from the start as the Cougars wore special jerseys remembering and honoring those that each player knew who have died, have or have had the disease. Each player introduced themselves, and shared who they were playing for.
