This dance season has definitely been different for ECC, but the small squad was just happy to be able to compete - even if it was virtually.

The feel inside an all but empty Martin Dittmer Gymnasium is quite different than that of the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association Championships at Wells Fargo Arena – but Ellsworth Community College was just happy they were getting the opportunity to compete in some capacity.

Due to the pandemic, teams had the option to submit their routines virtually and have them judged that way.

Aubree Gilbreth is in her second year at the helm of the ECC Dance Team. Though it had a different feel to it, the Panthers were able to compete in their second ISDTA event.

Just like if they were performing in person, the ECC dance team wore masks while they were practicing. They were able to remove their face coverings for their recorded performance - but they stayed six feet apart at all time while dancing.
